Won the battle; vs Uppababy G-Luxe
Posted by Kozue on 16th Jan 2015
I did extensive research on lightweight stroller for my 8mo daughter.
Bumbleride Flite and Uppababy G-Luxe were the ones meet all the criteria I wanted; light, compact, reclines, good until my daughter graduate from stroller. I went to stores and tried out both; fold and unfold with baby in my arm, let the baby sit and stroll and recline the seat, hook my diaper bag, carry folded strollers..... I decided to purchase Bumbleride Flite. And I LOVE IT!
It's very sturdy and well made. In comparison, G-Luxe felt a bit flimsier. Harness with shoulder pad seems more comfortable for babies too.
G-Luxe probably is easier to fold but it shouldn't be too bad after I get used to it. I succeeded folding Flite by one hand sometimes. (I should learn what I'm doing wrong when I can't.) Flite doesn't stand on its own like G-Luxe does but I can lock the wheels and let it lean. It's slimmer than G-Luxe when folded.
The canopy goes pretty deep and I didn't think it's much smaller than G-Luxe's with extended shade. It has a window which G-Luxe doesn't have. I also like the bright color on the interior because that's what my daughter sees a lot especially while it's reclined. I purchased Aqua color. It's very deep and bright turquoise, beautiful color.
I was worried this may be too light and I can not hang anything on the handles (I used to use Orbit which is very heavy and sturdy so I hung everything on its handles). But it can hold my fairly big fake leather diaper bag (it's definitely heavier than nylon or cotton bag) and still not fall when I pick baby up.
I am so happy that I decided on Bumbleride Flite and my daughter seems happy too :)

A Good, Lightweight Stroller
Posted by Jessica and Kiddos on 16th Jan 2015
This stroller is a good option for a lightweight, compact folding, travel style option. I decided to purchase this stroller after reading rave reviews of it in several websites, and although it's a good stroller, I am not quite so sure it's worth the price. There are many other lightweight strollers on the market for a cheaper price with more features.
But, I do love many features:
-the included parent cupholder. Although a small feature, our last lightweight stroller (combi cosmo) did not have this.
-the adjustable footrest.. my son looks so comfortable when I lay him down and put his foot rest up. He is a tall 18-month old, and although his feet do hang over the edge of the foot rest, he can rest comfortably and take a nice nap when we're out shopping
-good fold.. it fits VERY easily pretty much anywhere you would want to store it!
-sunshade with SPF - what an innovative feature! LOVE it!
a few cons:
-the sunshade is SUPER stiff and hard to maneuver, and it does not come down far enough
-the basket is not very large, and impossible to get into from the back. It is a little easier to put stuff in and out from the front, but that is fairly inconvenient when you want to just drop something in the basket real quick while shopping, etc.
-doesn't come with belly bar or cup holder for child. You can purchase a belly bar or a "snack pack" separately, but I would think they could include this, based on the price you are paying for a travel stroller, many of the cheaper options do include this
-as with any lightweight stroller - it is super easy to push along when you are inside, not so easy anywhere else. We won't push this even on the sidewalk in front of our home just to walk less than a block, because every crack in the pavement jolts my son around. This is the case with any lightweight stroller, with tiny wheels though.
I could probably go on, but the bottom line is this: it's a wonderful stroller. If money is not an issue for you, definitely get it! But if you are budget-wise, check out a few of the cheaper options. You might give up a few of the amenities to save $100ish, but that could be worth it to you.
Great lightweight stroller

Great lightweight stroller, love the fact that it is car seat compatible. Recently took it on a trip and it made the airport much more bearable with having two kids. It takes a little bit of practice to fold and unfold but it's not too bad. I love the fact that it automatically locks. If the storage basket was a little bit bigger or at least more accessible I would have given it 5 stars.
The best lightweight stroller!

This is the best lightweight stroller ever. I owned this stroller for 6 months, and I love it. My daughter really enjoy rides the stroller and falls asleep easily.

I purchased the Flite with the carrycot when my daughter was 2 months old. She practically lived in the carrycot! I have recieved many compliments on this stroller. I had originally purchased it because I had surgery on my shoulder and needed something light weight. I had no problem pulling this out of the car, opening it, closing it and putting it back with pretty much one arm. I just wish it had a larger bottom basket and better cup holder that doesnt spin around and spill the drink. Other than that I love this stroller! Thinking of purchasing the Indie next!

I really love the stroller the only thing i dont like its that bumbleride has an image that its supposed to fit in a mini cooper (which i have) trunk and it does not fit in there, to make it fit you have to take out the bottom wheels, the fact that its supposed to fit in there, was a very important thing because i bought this stroller anyways its a good lightweight durable top branded stroller
Great addition to the B-ride line!

This is a great addition by Bumbleride! They've always made great strollers but had yet to make something easy to get around with. The Flite definitely is an improvement there. Same great look and construction of all Bumbleride strollers, just in a smaller, more compact design. No problem for a mom to get this thing in and out of a car and it's very easy to fold and unfold. The only problems I have with it are that the storage bag underneath doesn't fit too much and that the folding support bar right below the handles on the back doesn't lock in place when the stroller is fully opened up. This does nothing to jeopardize the safety and Bumbleride says it was designed that way to be easier to fold up so it's not a problem at all, just kinda funky that it buckles at times while you walk. Regardless, I completely recommend this thing to anyone looking for an easy, portable stroller and is willing to spend the money on something well worth it.
Love this stroller!

This stroller is very easy to get in and out of the car and to set up. I use it when running errands and if my son is asleep in his car seat then I just attach the bar and put the car seat on the stroller and go. It is so easy to steer even with one hand. This is a very durable, high quality stroller and I would recommend it to anyone.
Full featured umbrella

This review is written after a year and half of use.
The flite handles wells over most terrain. It does take a bit more effort over grass or up hills. Easy push for indoors.
Almost flat recline. I would feel comfortable putting a newborn in it. I find the strap recline to be fairly easy to operate with the baby in the stroller.
Fairly small, but average for an umbrella stroller. Mine has ripped in the corner but Bumbleride promptly sent me a new one. .
I hung my fully loaded diaper bag (although I don't carry much) on the handles with the stroller empty and it did not tip.
Very easy, just pull up on the triggers near the handle and fold forward, automatically locks. Doesn't fold with the infant seat adapter bar on, but it does fold with the bar in the basket. Not a one handed fold though.
I love that this umbrella stroller is so full featured. If I had it before I got my snap n go I would have skipped the snap and go all together. I love that I have the option of using my car seat or the regular seat in such a small package and without much switching around of equipment.
The cup holder snaps on to the side of the stroller. I constantly run the cup holder into things and then it falls off. Now I just leave it off.
Major positive- Bumbleride's EXCELLENT customer service. I have had a few minor issues (basket and the harness clip breaking) and they have gone above and beyond to immediately correct the situation. They are great to work with!
Doesn't fold with infant adapter seat on or the snack pack on which is slightly annoying, but not a deal breaker.
Overall, I'm happy with it and would definitely recommend.

We bought the Flite for our 5 month old to keep in our trunk. We have the Bumbleride Indie but it is too bulky to get in and out of my truck. This is the perfect solution. Things I like are th recline, the quality of the fabric, adjustable footrest. My baby seems really comfortable. Would purchase again!!
