Great double pram for toddlers. Light and easy to maneuver

  • Amazing Stroller!!!

Posted by First Timer with Twins on 16th Jan 2015

Originally, we were going to purchase the regular City Mini, but I am so glad we went with the GT double! I really haven't gotten to use the stroller much since our twins aren't here yet, but this stroller is AWESOME! Both my husband and I are very impressed with the quality, craftsmanship and ease of use.

We love the large sunshades, forever air tires (front tires have shocks) and handbrake. The seats are nicely cushioned and seem like they will be comfortable, even for a newborn. The independent recline is awesome, and I think the adjustable handlebar is fabulous! I love it! Now, my 6' husband and 5' 4" mother will both be comfortable pushing the twins around. It is super easy to fold (I'm 8 ½ month pregnant with twins) and for a double, it's not too heavy but I will have to get used to it. The fold is very compact and would seem to fit just about anywhere. We don't have much to say about fitting through doorways yet (we have just gone through one with no problem) but it is very easy to maneuver and I don't think we will have any problems with any doorways. It has a pretty large basket, and they did "swoop" the bar down so we can get stuff in and out pretty easily.

If I were to complain, it would be about the weight of the stroller, but I am a first time mom, and pregnant so I'm sure I will get used to the weight. Also, there is a bar in the middle of the "swoop" by the basket that might get in the way when putting stuff in/out of the basket. However I also know this bar is for structural support, so in my opinion it's not a big deal.

There isn't anything I don't love about this stroller! It's a keeper! Even my hubby is extremely satisfied about the purchase.

  • Good buy

It was expensive but totally worth it!

  • Love at first push

Posted by ChiMom on 16th Jan 2015

We love our City Mini GT double! Our tall 4 year old and big 1 year old both ride comfortably in the stroller. And the stroller can still be pushed with one hand with both kids in it. Love the adjustable handlebar, the full-recline seats and the great sunshades. The storage basket underneath is a bit difficult to access, but not impossible. We added a Bob Duallie parent console to hold our drinks and phone/keys and it fits perfectly and works well. The stroller folds easily and relatively compactly for a double stroller - it fits well into the trunk of our Honda Accord. However, we can't get the auto-latch system to work to hold the stroller together when it's closed, and that's a little annoying. Overall, we are happy with our purchase.

  • would defnitely reccomend!!

I really enjoy this stroller. I find it to be very comfortable for the kids to ride in. My kids that never liked going in strollers goes into this one. The only thing I find a little bit of a downside is the fact that it is a little bulky when folded and somewhat heavy. Though this would not stop me from reccomending this stroller! It is extremely easy to maneuver and is overall a great product!

SO glad that I waited for this to come out!! I researched like crazy and ultimately decided on the city mini double over ALLL the other double strollers.I wasn't sure if I wanted to wait for the GT to come out since I was due with our little one March 5th, but boy was I glad I waited! We have a little bit of a unique situation in that we have a 3 year old who is severely autistic so we needed something that was going to fit the new baby and our big 3 year old. I waited specifically for the gt since it accommodates a larger child. He fits fantastically, with room to spare! It's nice because they have made it bigger in all 3 areas of the feet length, the depth of the seat and the height. I know this stroller might be a bit pricey BUT atleast for us, it was WELL WORTH IT! I couldn't be happier with our purchase!

  • Great stroller

I was so excited when this stroller came out. I was on the wait-list for the first shipment, and it was worth the wait. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old. I am using the car seat attachment currently. It is easy to push, narrow, lightweight. I like the look. I love the sun shades and big basket, although I still think it's hard to put anything in the basket. (the basket access was reported as improved from the city mini series, but I have no comparison.) super easy to put together. The car seat attachment instructions were awful, but I finally figured it out. Worth the money.

  • Love the double! Love the new GT!

Posted by Hilaryous on 16th Jan 2015

My previous stroller was the city mini single. I needed a double now, and I LOVE the GT features! The biggest plus are the all terrain, forever air tires. I mostly walk sidewalks and these tires make a much smoother ride than the regular city mini tires. The new adjustable handlebar is great. I don't come close to kicking the stroller like I sometimes did on the single CM. This is my first time having the double, but the basket underneath seems accessible and large enough. I have seen other strollers that have a much larger or accessible basket, but this works for me. I usually throw some sand toys in the bottom, or an extra blanket, water bottles, snacks, maybe a small backpack. This stroller maneuvers like a dream! Granted my kids aren't that heavy yet (25lbs and 12 lbs) but I could spin it in circles with one hand if I wanted to, or if it were safe! At first I thought it was sort of heavy and bulky when folded. But after loading it into the back of my Toyota Sequoia a few times, it's not bad at all. LOVE Baby Jogger's folding mechanism and it's not bad on the double, considering it's equivalent to folding two single strollers at the same time. The color is very nice! I got the orange/shadow and I'm glad that orange is the accent and not the main color. It's a very nice orange! Overall, its a great stroller. Definitely recomend it.

  • Excellent Double Stroller

Posted by RoJo on 16th Jan 2015

I have four year old and 14 month old boys. I did a lot of research and it seemed like this was the best buy for a double stroller - especially since my 4 year old is big for his age. First the pros: the stroller is extremely easy to assemble. It is also very easy to push - even with just one hand. I also love the hand brake. Perhaps the greatest plus is how compact it is when folded up. It actually takes up less space in my trunk than my single full size stroller! I was able to take it on the Washington DC metro and in the smithsonian museums without any trouble - fits through all the doors! I think it's a good buy.

However, here are some things to consider before buying: My son is about 43" tall and can easily fit in the seat. But with the canopy folded back, it does restrict the amount of head room he has. I guess a quick fix would be to remove the canopy on his side. With a thick winter coat on, it is a bit of a squeeze to get his shoulders in. I've heard people talk about how easy it is even for a 6 year old to fit in. This may be true if your child isn't very big or doesn't have a lot of bulky clothing on. Next, even if your older child can fit in the seat comfortably, the harness straps don't extend much, so strapping in a larger child might be out of the question. Baby Jogger redesigned the access to the basket underneath, but it is still a little awkward trying to get into the basket when you have both kids in their seats (even if they are sitting upright). It is a huge basket though - just a little difficult getting into.

All in all, I still think it's a great stroller!

  • Great All Around Stroller

Love this stroller! Easily accommodates my 2 year old and 2week old!
Easy to push an get in and out of car. Love the tires which make it easy to push on all types of surfaces!

  • Love this stroller!

I preordered this stroller for my super tall 2 year old and 7 month old. My 2 year old fits great in it (he did not fit well in the City Mini) and the ride seems very comfortable for both of my kids. The hand brake is easy to access. The wheels can easily handle the bumpy NYC sidewalks, and the stroller (so far!) fits through NYC doorways. The basket is a little annoying since you have to lift the seat a bit to fit bulky items. It folds compactly. I'm still trying to figure out what organizer would work with the stroller when it is folded. It's annoying that the raincover is not included. Overall this is a great stroller!
