I have a 16 month old and a baby on the way, I wasn't in love with my first stroller, so we purchased the city select so I can use it now and with both children in September. I love that it has so many options as my children grow. I can use one seat or two and when my toddler gets a little bigger and doesn't want to ride, we plan to buy the glider board for him to stand on. This stroller does not tip over like others when you put your diaper bag on it or hang clothes at the store. My toddler loves riding in it, which was not the case with our first stroller. The storage space is huge! The only negative I have is that we bought the parent console that attaches, which worked great until I raised the canopy up so my son had more room. Now I can't fit a drink in the cup holder. I need to find a cup holder that clips on to the side out of the way. It is a little heavy lifting it in the car, but I don't see that as a huge issue since it's so great!! I wish I would have purchased this stroller when my first was born!
Does the Second Seat Kit always include the front brackets?
When you buy from an authorized Baby Jogger dealer, the Second Seat Kit will ALWAYS include the front brackets for the stroller. With the purchase of the City Select stroller and the Second Seat Kit, that's all you need to make a double stroller.
How does the City Select bassinet work?
The City Select has a soft-sided bassinet kit as an optional accessory. The bassinet kit includes the fabric "shell" of the bassinet, a mattress, support bars, and a matching apron that covers the top opening. The bassinet kit snaps onto the metal frame that the stroller seat users. You unsnap the seat fabric from the metal frame, and then snap on the bassinet fabric kit in a very easy installation. The City Select Bassinet Kit uses the same sun canopy as which came with the stroller seat. Because the bassinet uses the seat frame, you'll need a seat for each bassinet you wish to use (e.g., two bassinet kits will mean you need to purchase the stroller, second seat, and two bassinet kits).
Which pieces are needed to use two bassinets at the same time?
The City Select bassinet kit is the bassinet exterior fabric, along with a bassinet mattress. The bassinet kit uses the metal frame of the City Select seat, as well as the sun canopy from the seat. So, to use the stroller as a double with two bassinets, you'll need two seat frames (i.e., one seat frame is included in the stroller box, and then you'd also purchase the Second Seat Kit at the same time).
What is the warranty?
Baby Jogger offers a 1-year warranty on soft parts, and a lifetime warranty on the City Select frame.
