New for 2008, the Baby Jogger City Mini Double has the light weight and easy fold of a compact umbrella stroller mixed with the full seats and comfortable push of an all-terrain stroller. Along with Baby Jogger's high quality, all of this has created a unique stroller that is an excellent choice for overall daily use!
The Baby Jogger City Mini Double stroller handles and steers more easily than any compact double umbrella stroller we've evaluated. It rides on EVA tires, with sealed ball bearings in the wheels to ensure no grit or dirt slows down your ride. With the front shock absorbers, your kids will appreciate how bumps are somewhat smoothed out.
Baby Jogger's patented quick-fold technology has been incorporated into the City Mini Double. It collapses in a single easy step, and the folded size is quite manageable.
Sun protection is another area where the City Mini Double really stands out in its class. The sun canopies provide excellent coverage, better than nearly all double strollers in this price range.
Individually reclining seats on the Baby Jogger City Mini Double can each go down to 150 degrees, and the seat comfort is very good. When reclined, select between a weather guard (wind/rain protection) or a mesh ventilation panel on nicer days. Padded 5-point safety harnesses ensure that your child will be securely strapped.
With a tall, rounded handlebar and good legroom for pushing, we've found that the City Mini strollers are a very good choice for small to tall parents.
The Baby Jogger City Mini Double looks similar to an all-terrain stroller, but it is designed to be used on sidewalks, in malls and stores, and other even surfaces... like any other standard stroller. The City Mini will not push easily over rough terrain.
Storage on the City Mini Double is above average, with a good sized under-seat basket and large mesh pockets on the back of each seat.
