The ERGO Baby Carrier's design supports a correct sitting position for a baby's hip, pelvis and spine growth. The carrier distributes most of your infant's weight across the child's hips and thighs, which helps to eliminate compression of the spine -- unlike other carriers on the market. The ERGObaby carrier also takes the baby's weight and spreads it to your hips and shoulders, which prevents fatigue when you use the carrier for long periods.
Next to other carriers, the ERGO clearly has better padding in the wide shoulder straps and waist belt for your comfort, and it's one of the easiest carriers to use. Its simple design also lets you remove the carrier with a sleeping baby, gently laying the infant down without waking.
Suitable from newborn through toddler, the ERGO can accommodate multiple positions. Inward on front for newborn bonding, and outward facing on front, or riding on your back for older babies and toddlers. For a change of position, you can also use the ERGO baby carrier to carry on your hip.
For sleeping babies, or for nursing privacy, the ERGO includes an attached hood that folds up in a pocket on the carrier.
