	Need your stroller to carry more than your children? Look for strollers with the Ample Storage feature. This means the storage area will get you through a day of shopping, picnicking or wandering an amusement park. Just throw your extra gear in the under-seat compartment.
	“BPA” is the nickname for Bisphenol-A. BPA is a chemical used to produce reusable plastics. It is problematic because BPA can imitate estrogen in the body. The chemical might leach from the plastic into consumable products. For this reason, we try our best to find BPA-free plastics for all our gear and only carry BPA-free products for food consumption.
	Look for this button on our site and know you’re buying a chemical-free product. “Certified Organic” means that the fabric has passed inspection by The Global Organic Textile Standards, which is the leading international standard for organic textile processing.
	“Eco-Friendly Fabrics” is not a regulated term, which means it is defined differently by different organizations. Here at PeppyParents.com, we define it in this way: Fabrics are produced without the use of formaldehyde or other harmful chemicals, Fibers (ex. Cotton, bamboo) used for the fabric are produced in a sustainable way.
	Front-locking wheels provide extra stability for uneven surfaces like cobblestone or dirt roads. In addition, jogging strollers have them to keep small debris from causing the stroller to veer off in an unplanned direction. If you think you will use your stroller on an uneven surface, look for this feature.
	Height adjusting handlebars make it easier for parents and caregivers of different heights to comfortably use the same stroller. Look for this icon if users have significant height difference or if Mom wears high-heels while pushing the stroller sometimes.
	Height adjusting baby gear grows with your child. Look for this symbol on strollers, car seats, high chairs and more. It means you will be able to use this product for years with your young family. Pay close attention to height and weight specifications for these products, as they often vary greatly among similar products.
	Look for the Infant Seat Compatible icon to be sure the stroller you’ve chosen has a coordinating infant car seat. Most of our strollers have adapter brackets which allow strollers and car seats from different brands to pair together. The easiest way to make sure your items match and work well together is to purchase the car seat and stroller from the same brand. 	Lightweight is an entirely subjective term, just ask a bodybuilder standing next to someone doing her first workout! At PeppyParents.com, we define lightweight gear as weighing less than 25 pounds. Look for this indicator on strollers, car seats, and other on-the-go gear.
	Messes happen when we’re on-the-go with babies and toddlers. Look for the Machine Washable Fabrics icon and know you’re purchasing a product that will make cleanup easy. Products with this icon have machine washable components, but most are not dryer safe. Read the product instructions carefully before laundering.
	Look for the “Made in the USA” icon for baby gear proudly produced in The United States of America. This is a way to support our economy and ensures fair labor standards have been used in the production of the item you’re purchasing.
	Mindfully manufactured products take environmental, health, safety and social responsibility into account when manufacturing. Some of our favorite brands, like Nuna and Bumbleride, work tirelessly to ensure they’re making the world a more friendly place for all living things. The products featuring the Mindfully Produced icon go beyond safety standards for your child, these companies are helping make the whole world a safer place for her to grow up in.
$OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED FABRIC$	Oeko-Tex Certified Fabrics go through a 100-point review process to ensure they are free of harmful substances. Look for this symbol to know the product you’re purchasing has met the highest standards in the textile industry for safety. When your child’s cheek rests on an Oeko-Tex® Certified stroller seat or playard mattress, you know he’s safe from harsh chemicals and compounds.
	Stowing your stroller can get complicated, with an infant in one hand. Look for the one-handed fold icon and be sure packing up the car is as easy as possible. This indicator means your stroller will close up with one hand tied behind your back--or holding a toddler hand.
	PVC is the single most environmentally damaging type of plastic--and it’s not good for little ones either. Look for toys, bottles, pacifiers, and other products that are labeled “PVC-Free” to keep your child and his environment safe from harmful chemicals.
	The Quick Install indicator means your car seat will be ready for use, from curb to safe travels, in 20-seconds or less. Seats like the UPPAbaby Mesa Infant Car Seat have specially designed bases that make fast installation a breeze for busy parents and caregivers.
	The Reclining Seat indicator lets you know that the stroller you’re considering includes the flexibility of multiple reclining positions. Most full-size strollers have this feature, which helps your child be more comfortable for naps and seeing the world. However, umbrella strollers and other lightweight options often do not.
	Reversible seats are a popular feature on today’s modern strollers. Look for this icon and you can be sure the item you’re about to purchase has this convenient feature. Parents and children alike love reversible seats, so they can see each other or see the world.
	Self-Standing strollers stand on their back wheels when folded. This feature makes stowing easier. Many of our favorite full size and convertible strollers offer this feature.

	Stuff happens, things break. That’s part of life right? Luckily, most of our gear comes with warranties to make sure you’re protected against manufacturer defects and other problems. 	Just like your car or bicycle, stroller suspension helps to smooth out your child’s journey in her stroller. The stronger the suspension, the smoother the ride. This is particularly important for parents who want to take their family on outings with rough terrain, whether it’s hiking a mountain or strolling down a cobblestone street. Look for this symbol to indicate that the stroller you’re considering has front-wheel, rear-wheel or all-wheel suspension. At PeppyParents.com, the type of suspension each stroller has will be clearly listed in the specifications for that product. If the stroller does not have suspension, it will be indicated as well. The necessity of a suspension system varies from family to family. If you’re planning to only use your stroller for quick outings or at the mall, suspension may not be as important to you. However, the heavier you use your stroller the more important suspension becomes. Advanced suspension is a necessity for joggers, hikers and those who spend time on cobblestone.
