Orlando Baby Stroller Rental and Buying Options for Disney Parks

Planning the Disney vacation means so many decisions that will help determine how easy and enjoyable your trip will be! Deciding on how to handle the stroller decision is just one part!

In this guide, we cover:

  • Bringing your own stroller

  • Buying a stroller to take to Disney and Orlando parks

  • Buying a stroller and shipping it to your Disney Resort Hotel

  • Renting a stroller from Disney

  • Renting a stroller from a private company in Orlando

BRING YOUR OWN STROLLER TO DISNEY

The main reasons to bring your own stroller are the cost (you already own it!) and familiarity with everything about it. It's free to check a stroller at the jetway gate of airports, without an additional baggage fee.

BUYING A STROLLER FOR YOUR DISNEY VACATION

If part of your budget for the family vacation at Disney parks includes a new stroller, it's the perfect opportunity to invest in one that is going to keep your babies and children comfortable as you walk miles per day at Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. Plus as you head to area restaurants, brave airports, or see other Orlando attractions; the right stroller will let tired toddlers nap and relax while you continue to enjoy your day.

DESIRED FEATURES FOR BEST STROLLERS TO USE AT DISNEY

RENTING A STROLLER FOR DISNEY WORLD

There are a couple options when renting a stroller for your vacation at Disney in Orlando.

Renting from a private stroller rental company

There are half a dozen stroller rental companies in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. Renting outside of Disney means you often have your choice from a number of desirable strollers. It also means if you want to explore non-Disney attractions or restaurants in Orlando, you can take your rented stroller wherever you go. The strollers from a private rental company are usually popular models from Baby Jogger or BOB, so they will be more comfortable for your child and nicer for parents to use compared to Disney resort rental strollers. For children ages 4-6 years, pick one of the rental companies that have a City Mini GTCity Elite, or Summit X3 stroller.

  • May include free delivery to your hotel

  • More comfortable than Disney rental strollers

  • Offer storage under the stroller for jackets, diaper bag, water bottles, souvenirs, etc.

  • Single seat stroller: around $45 for 3 nights, around $65 for 4-7 nights

  • Double seat stroller: around $60 for 3 nights, around $80 for 4-7 nights

  • Insurance costs extra ($20 - $25) to cover you if the stroller is damaged

These are a few of the more well-known stroller rental companies that offer free delivery to your Disney area hotel (their policies/prices may be different than the general info above - please contact them directly for current details):

Renting from Disney parks

The main reason for renting from Disney is the convenience of having what amounts to a wheeled seat for your child while you are at the park. Outside the park, it's one less item to lug around. For parents of preschoolers, this may make quite a bit of sense.

  • Pick-up and drop-off at the park - don't need to take back to your hotel

  • Cannot be used outside Disney parks; so you won't have a stroller for non-Disney attractions / restaurants

  • Hard plastic seats are not suitable for young babies

  • No storage basket under the stroller

  • Single seat stroller: $15 per day (or $13 if prepaid for multiple days)

  • Double seat stroller: $31 per day (or $27 if prepaid for multiple days)
